And this morning came with a lesson on its heels: Far from street whistles and church bells, crashing cymbals and drum rolls; far from the gleaming shop displays and bright city lights, God speaks to us in the mundane, the humdrum of everyday life. It&#8217;s the despised shepherds minding sheep by night that received the invitation to witness the quiet and yet epic transition in the rising tide of human history with the Messiah&#8217;s birth. It&#8217;s the espoused 14 year-old teenage Mary going about her domestic chores that the Angel appeared to.
