Spending an entire evening in darkness when all around your neighborhood the lights are on. Even the street lights! Given this fell to my lot last night I have, since first light (with toothpick precision), been going through our house power grid, trying to isolate the problem. Circuit breakers: All ON. Any loose wiring? None. Mains in the Garage: Intact. Clearly, the matter goes beyond our four walls. So I dialed the 9551 numb<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">er and am now waiting for the professionals to give me a conclusive rundown. Hopefully, the power will flip on and I&#8217;ll walk back into the house fist-pumping and chest-thumping. And while at it, coax the girls into giving me a thunderous applause. I&#8217;ll have returned with honor.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"text_exposed_show\">\n<p>Many times in life, when you&#8217;ve done all you know to do, all you have left to do is to sit and wait.
