Without any due acknowledgement, I sidestepped the matter to say how I needed to compensate for a day I missed running over the past week. I suppose I was hoping for some sympathy. It didn\u2019t come. Instead, my daughter offered to \u201csupport\u201d me on my run. And running through the freezing drizzle we have, this morning.<\/p>\n<p>Now for the present conundrum (am not quite <span class=\"text_exposed_show\">up to the task;-). Am thinking many things. For one, I could just take the girls out for lunch &#8211; they would love that very much, only Mona (who\u2019s away) would hear of this domestic chicanery. But then again, it would be a most excellent opportunity to give the girls an education on Specialization, which catalyzed the Industrial Revolution: When the farmer came to the critical realization that he needn\u2019t have to bake his own bread, and weave his own clothes, life became a lot easier &#8211; folks focused on their core competencies. Then there is the wisdom of Solomon\u2019s last line in Ecclesiastes (chapter 10, verse 19;-). I could also throw that one in.
