Good stuff! I still have some confusion though on whether John who wrote the Book of Revelations is John, the Beloved, the son of Zebbedee. Is he the same man of the Book of John? Still, the message is the most important
Yes Margaret, that’s all John (he called himself “the disciple whom Jesus loved”). Jesus gave John and his brother James (the sons of Zebedee – both disciples – the nickname “Sons of Thunder.” Given to selfishness and outbursts of anger, they at one time asked Jesus for permission to call down fire from heaven on a village that had refused to welcome them. Their mother, Salome, even asked Jesus for her sons to sit “one at Your right side and one at Your left side, when You are King.” Combustive family, that one;-). PS. John wrote 5 New Testament books: The Gospel of John; 1, 2, and 3rd John; and Revelation
