Over my lunch break a while ago, I stepped out for a 12km run in my sleepy neighborhood to re-energize. At the 5km mark, I was startled out of my rhythm and meditation by a screeching car that pulled a Vin Diesel stop right in front of me. I started punching the air Mohammed Ali style – dancing like a butterfly (and waiting to sting like a bee;-) but got disarmed after the driver’s window slid down.It was Adarsh Shah – a fellow avid runner, golfer and mountain climber. Today he was up to no good (per usual, anyway), but it was so good to see him nonetheless. Last we met was pre-covid. The last 12 months have taught us not to take what we deem normal (and ordinary) for granted!

Edward Kinyanjui, Adarsh is flaunting C-19 protocols – he’s organizing a koroga next week; if you are lucky, you might get invited;-)

So very true about not taking anything we treasure for granted anymore. I hope the lesson stays with us post-pandemic.

Daria, if history is anything to go by, we are prone to quickly (and easily) forget!
